In a significant gesture of community support, the Rotary Club of Abuja Kubwa, led by Rotarian Idowu Olayemi, has brought new life to the Kungabokun community with the renovation of a block of three classrooms at LEA Primary School.

The commissioning ceremony, attended by the community’s pupils, staff, and residents, was a moment of joy and pride for all involved.

The project, commissioned by District Governor Nominee Rotarian Sikiru Owonikoko, reflects the club’s unwavering commitment to improving education in underprivileged areas.

Rotarian Owonikoko echoed these sentiments, saying, “Education must be qualitative, and we cannot afford to compromise. These children are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is our duty to ensure they receive the best foundation possible.”

Despite the economic challenges faced by the country, the Rotary Club’s effort underscores the importance of not allowing financial difficulties to compromise the quality of education.

“We hope this development will inspire both parents and students, motivating them to strive for excellence,” Olayemi said.

The renovation project, which took two months to complete, serves as yet another example of Rotary’s long-standing dedication to the Kungabokun community.

From healthcare initiatives to infrastructure projects, the club has made a lasting impact on the lives of many in the adopted community.

With the newly renovated classrooms now in place, the Rotary Club of Abuja Kubwa hopes the community will continue to safeguard and maintain the facility, ensuring it remains a symbol of hope and progress for future generations.
