Expert Calls on Young Nigerians to Build Careers with Caffeine AI

ICP HUB Nigeria is urging students, tech enthusiasts and early-stage entrepreneurs to adopt Caffeine AI, a no-code platform that the group says can lower the cost and technical barriers to digital product development.

Mana Lamja, Content Strategist at ICP HUB Nigeria, said the global economic climate makes it essential for Nigerian innovators to prioritise skills that enhance their competitiveness abroad.

“With development costs rising, tools like Caffeine AI let creators build websites, apps and workflow tools without paying for developers, design or hosting. That changes the economics of innovation,” she said.

Launched globally by the Dfinity Foundation in 2024, Caffeine AI converts plain-language prompts into working digital products.

Lamja noted that the platform has proved especially useful for first-time builders, “For many young people, this is their first opportunity to ship a functioning product. It opens doors previously closed by cost or technical know-how,” she said.

According to her, ICP HUB has run hands-on trainings across campuses and cities, drawing hundreds of participants.

Lamja said more than 400 students and dozens of entrepreneurs have engaged with the platform in recent months, and at a recent session in Ile-Ife more than 120 students produced working projects within minutes.

Attendees, she noted, have created landing pages, booking systems, simple CRMs, survey tools and basic automation flows using only text instructions.

“The priority now is raising AI literacy and equipping young Nigerians to turn ideas into market-ready tools,” Lamja added.

She assured that ICP HUB Nigeria will continue community workshops nationwide and encouraged interested creators to begin experimenting directly on the Caffeine platform at caffeine.ai.
